Masterclass history
The first of our Masterclass Series took place on the weekend of the 19th and 20th March 2011. Attended by 30 participants the workshop with Ernesto Spinelli proved to be a truly inspiring weekend.
At the heart of the series is the wish to run practitioner based workshops, involving key people and issues of the moment in psychotherapy and counselling.
In the weekend we focused on living in an unpredictable, ever-changing world and our responses to uncertainty, both in general terms and as expressed by clients in the therapeutic relationship.
Ernesto presented key ideas from existential psychotherapy, focusing on particular issues raised by uncertainty and its relationship to clients and therapists in the struggle to engage with one another and the life-issues being presented.
The workshop utilised theoretical and case study discussion as well as practical exercises.
Mick Cooper
Mick presented an exceptional workshop weekend focusing on relational depth and pluralistic practice. The weekend was a mixture of experiential working with excellent teaching input.
The bookstore is an added facility at the masterclasses with specially selected books on offer to support the experience. Other well liked aspects of the weekends are the delicious lunches, fresh tea and coffee...and nice biscuits!
